Dallas Cowboys schedule: Date and time for Week 18 game against Washington Commanders released

The Dallas Cowboys will play in the afternoon window on Sunday of Week 18.

As of Sunday in Week 17, the Dallas Cowboys control their own fate with regards to the NFC East and #2 seed in the NFC. All that was left to know was exactly when they would be putting their fate to the test.

Near the conclusion of the Sunday night game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings the NFL announced the full Week 18 slate and the Cowboys will visit the Washington Commanders in the late window. 4:25pm ET is the specific time for those interested.

The Cowboys are one of seven games taking place in the late window in Week 18 and one of the other six is the contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. These games are at the same time so that nobody has any sort of competitive advantage by knowing the result and being in a position to rest any sort of starters.

While the Cowboys clinch the division and the #2 seed with a win they could technically also do so with losses by both the Detroit Lions and aforementioned Eagles. Detroit plays in the early window so that result will be known, but with Philly playing at the same time as the Cowboys, Dallas will have to show up and do the work themselves which is really how it should be anyway.

There you have it. Get ready for Week 18.
