The NFL Draft is so close that if you went and bought groceries today it would be a challenge to find something that expires before the draft begins. That is how we know we are close, people.
In fact we are actually so close to the draft that the Cowboys held their pre-draft press conference on Monday. There were a handful of updates, if you are interested:
- Jerry Jones explained why the Cowboys no longer focus on making “splashes”
- Stephen Jones answered whether or not Dallas has changed their thoughts on taking a running back in the first round
- Mike McCarthy noted that Josh Ball will spend more time inside than out in 2023
Obviously it is hard to take anything from the Cowboys (or anyone) at face value right now with the draft closer than ever. Nobody wants to tip their hand and expose what they are planning on doing over the course of this weekend, that is part of the gamesmanship of it all.
So how are you feeling? What are your thoughts about what the brain trust said?
Our Tuesday thread is now open and in your hands. Be careful with it.
