4 Cowboy's Roster needs for 2024

After the Senior Bowl and the combine there will be a lot of movement, so this is obviously very early. However, after the heartbreaking devastating loss to the Packers, I wanted to take a look and see how much work their needs to be done to have a better result next year.

Below are 4 areas that I believe need to be addressed. I thought about adding DT, but after spending a first rounder last year, my guess is that's addressed in free agency.

Offensive Line

Free Agents: Tyron Smith, Tyler Biadasz, Chuma Edoga (depth)

Starters returning: Tyler Smith, Zack Martin, Terrence Steele

Must address: LT, OC

Draft top 100: OT -- Drafttek has 11 OTs with 0 in the top 100 after 53, Tankathon has 13 with 2 ranked after 49

Best options*: OT -- Jordan Morgan #27 ; Kingsley Suamataia # 45; Tyler Guyton #48

OC -- Drafttek, 3 in the top 100, 3 more 100 to 200, Profootballnetwork also has 3 in the top 100

Best Options*: OC -- Graham Barton #39 Jackson Powers-Johnson #47 ; Zack Frazier #75

* = according to drafttek

Free Agent to consider: Jonah Williams

Consider bringing back on a team-friendly deal: Tyron Smith

Free Agents: Jourdan Lewis, Stephen Gilmore

Starters returning: Trevon Diggs, DaRon Bland

Must address: Slot corner, depth

Draft Top 100: 14 -- drafttek; 15 -- tankathon

Draft 100 to 200 -- 9 drafttek; 12 --footballnetwork

Dreamy Free Agent to hope and pray for: Jaylon Johnson

Consider bringing back on a team-friendly deal: Jourdan Lewis (was he regaining his form at the end of the year?)

Running backs

Free Agents: Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle

Starters returning: Hunter Luepke (okay, not really)

Must address: 2 RBs

Draft Top 100: 7 draftek (0 in top 50); 7 tankathon (0 in top 60)

Draft 100 to 200 10 drafttek; 10 footballnetwork

Free Agents: No thanks!

Consider bringing back on team-friendly deal: Rico Dowdle

Free Agents: 0

Returning: Leighton Vander Esch, Damone Clark, Markquese Bell, DeMarvion Overshown

Must Address: Assuming LVE is not 100%, then a stud MLB

Top 100: 3 Drafttek, 3 Tankathon

100 to 200: 6 Drafttek, 8 Footballnetwork; 0 ranked in top 50 from either source

Free Agent: Tyler Dodson (Walterfootball)???

Draft Picks: 24, 56, 87, 172, 212, 230, 241

Conclusion: At this early date, I'm encouraged that it seems the Cowboys don't have as many holes as I had imagined. I'd like to see the Cowboys go offensive line in round 1. Historically, that's been the best return on investment. It's also the best way to "help Dak", in my opinion. Graham Barton is the player I seem mocked to the Cowboys at 24 the most often with him as an OC. With so many OTs in the top 50, could a very good OT fall? For RB, I like the idea of an Allen or Estime for those short yardage situations unless Luepke develops and/or is used. It seemed the he wasn't used as much last year in short yardage and that may have been an mistake, or it could be just where his development dictated.
