IRVING, Texas -- The Akwasi Owusu-Ansah era with the Cowboys is officially over. Owusu-Ansah has joined Jacksonville’s practice squad and will return to playing safety after the Cowboys converted him to wide receiver at the beginning of the regular season.
RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks rookie guard John Moffitt has been suspended for four games without pay for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.... Moffitt was Seattle's third-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin and started the first nine games at right guard before suffering a pair of torn knee ligaments in a Week 10 win over Baltimore. 2 Skins players were also suspended for failing drug tests. Tight end Fred Davis and offensive lineman Trent Williams, got 4 games off each. The rest of the year, and this is Davis's contract year. I wonder how many teams want to pay him big $ when his next failed drug test is a automatic 1 year suspension.
Tony Fiammetta fired up about return A key component will return to the Cowboys’ suddenly sputtering running game this week. Fullback Tony Fiammetta, who missed the last three games with a mystery illness, said he has been cleared by doctors and will participate in Wednesday’s practice and play in Sunday’s NFC East showdown against the New York Giants. "It’s going to be awesome," Fiammetta said. "I’ve been waiting for it. I feel great. It’s a good time to come back, big game, and I want to make a difference."
I am still trying to figure out the clock management strategy there
Cowboys have a late game today, so all is not lost if you don't get your picks in before the early games kick off. However, you will lose any chance at 10-for-10 if you wait. There are only six games (four late afternoon, and two night), so you would only be able to go 6-for-6 if you wait until later this afternoon to get your picks in.
