So will anyone offer an opinion on how much easier it gets to finish Dware's deal? I would say, done and done.
Quincy Carter appeared on a local Abilene TV station, talking about life in the "Indoor Football League", his time with the Cowboys and how Jerry Jones just treated him SOOO badly when he was cut. He even goes on to say that Jerry Jones and the NFL conspired to erase press conference tapes and to spread lies about his mental stability.
The new stadium will temporarily be called...drum roll please...Cowboys Stadium. With the economic times not conducive to a big money deal for corporate naming rights, Jerry Jones is going with Cowboys Stadium for the time being. Hat tip to Brandon for the FanPost.DC.com blog
CINCINNATI (AP) - Safety Roy Williams hopes that a reunion with his defensive coordinator from Dallas will get his career turned around. The Cincinnati Bengals signed Williams to a one-year contract on Thursday. Williams missed most of last season with Dallas because he broke his right forearm twice, and the Cowboys released him on March 5. Part of the attraction of coming to Cincinnati was the chance to play for defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, who held the job in Dallas from 2000-06. Williams was the Cowboys' first-round pick in 2002.
Would Dallas have any interest in this guy, does anyone know much about him as a LG or what he could bring to dallas?
NEW YORK -- The NFL will stage 16 games this season to honor the American Football League, which turns 50 in 2010. In announcing the 16 matchups Tuesday, the NFL said the eight original AFL teams will wear historic uniforms. Eleven legacy games will be matchups among those original AFL teams: Buffalo; New England; San Diego; Denver; Oakland; Tennessee; Kansas City; and the New York Jets. The Chargers actually began life in Los Angeles in 1960, while the Titans were the Houston Oilers and the Chiefs were the Dallas Texans.... ... Another legacy game has the Dallas Cowboys, wearing their jerseys from 1960 to 1962, at Kansas City on Oct. 11. The Texans and Cowboys shared the Cotton Bowl from 1960 to '62 before the Texans moved to Kansas City to become the Chiefs. On Nov. 1, the Miami Dolphins, who joined the AFL as an expansion team in 1966, visit the Jets. On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, Oakland visits the Cowboys.NFL to have AFL legacy games
Apparently the Raiders are considering waiving Michael Huff. He's had a pretty horrid career so far, but Oakland tends to do that to people. I wonder if he could ever play to his potential elsewhere. He'd be an improvement over Pat Watkins, but I'm sure DeAngelo Smith is likely the backup at FS for now. I wonder how many safeties we carry. Nice to see guys like Smith (CB/S) and Hodge (LB/S) have some versatility.
